KTM's RC8 Will Be Sold in Limited Edition

If on Santa's list for this year you didn't put that new RC8 you should probably hit the post office ASAP (as soon as possible that is) because KTM will be selling its 1190 RC8 only by their Priority Delivery Deposit Program, which will end on New Year's Eve. The 1190 model will be sold in limited numbers so if you are a KTM fan and love this bike you'd better go on and do something about it because you may not get a second chance, HellForLeather reported.

For the RC8 model it would look like KTM brought their riders to the design table as well as the best technicians and designers. The bike is full of innovative ideas, such as placing the fuel tank under the seat, which balances the bike more effectively . The slick exhaust system sits directly under the engine for a more rapid evacuation, while the design is made to produce no drag and the result is no crosswind oscillation and aggressive-steering ability.

The bikes engine produces 155 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 120 Nm of torque, which is A LOT when you think that the entire bike ways no more than 200 kilos fully tanked. The engine is the most powerful KTM has ever built and it runs on an electronic Keihin injection system that features a 52 mm throttle plate cross-section, automatic cold start with an idle speed regulator.
The sophisticated exhaust system vents the exhaust gases through a large volume silencer that is mounted on the underside of the bike guaranteeing a minimum volume of noise.

Mounted with the powerful engine is a 6-gear dog-clutch transmission that transfers more than enough power from the V-twin-cylinder to the rear wheel, the transmission being designed to allow for optimum acceleration.
