KTM and Husaberg Recalled for Throttle Cable Issues

Here's a recently recall for several KTM and Husaberg off-road bikes, but it seems like there is nothing to be too worried about. Given the fact that Husaberg are under the KTM umbrella, some of the parts have common sources, and that's most likely why both brands have been affected.

KTM says that 1,190 bikes will be recalled and authorized technicians will check their throttle cables. The Austrian manufacturer claims that on certain models, the said cable may have been manufactured incorrectly and could, in some cases, prevent the throttle from opening and closing normally. The fault cables will be replaced free of charge.

The bikes affected by the recall are: 2013 Husaberg TE250, Husaberg TE300, 2013 KTM 125 SX, 150 XC, 200 XC-W, 250 SX, 250 XC, 250 XC-W, 300 XC, 300 XC-W, 85 SX, 85 SX-S. No incidents have been reported.
