So, here are the first spy shots of the mind-boggling KTM 1290 Super Duke machine... with a twist. While we just knew that the street version will not be as cool and crazy as prototype in the video, we were indeed expecting to see a brutal bike, and we did.
However, one thing is iffy: there are several "in the wild" photos and they show pretty much the same bike with different headlights. The KTM 1290 Super Duke caught in a parking lot shows a massive, bulbous front end, while the other two, taken on the road, show a very aggressive, edgy front end more in the vein of the initial EICMA show bike.
Now, the bike seems to be pretty close to a production model, and we're eagerly waiting to see which way will the Mattighofen guys decide to go. We really hope it's going to be the evil, edgy way, not only to keep as true as possible to the lines of the prototype, but to carry one the trademark design the Austrian orange bikes became known for.
