KTM 1290 Super Duke R Official Pics and Specs Surface

There's been so much talking, spy photos, suppositions and whatnot related to the all-new KTM 1290 Super Duke R that it almost feels like the bike is in fact old. This sinful illusion was however washed away as we saw the first good pictures of the beast and learned about its potency.

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R brings a 75-degree 108x71mm bore/stroke 1,301cc v-twin power plant which will deliver a whopping 180 HP @ 8,870 rpm. Already sweating, huh?

The beast comes with three Eston pumps for pressure lubrication, a 6-speed gearbox, a PASC slipper clutch and Keihin EMS with DBW, double ignition.

A cromoly trellis frame receives a tapered aluminium bar, 48mm WP USD fork and a WP rear shock. Brembo calipers all over and a nifty Bosch 9ME C-ABS system for better braking. Add in the 18-liter (4.75nus gal) tank and the 189 kg (417 lbs) weight without fuel.
