Kristensen and Ekstrom Prepared for the Race of Champions

RoC (Race of Champions) is one of the most thrilling international events in motorsport, putting head to head in identical cars some of the best drivers in the world and from a wide specter of motorsport disciplines.

This year the RoC takes places in Beijing, China on the Beijing National Stadium (also known as the Bird's Nest Stadium) which hosted the famous Olympic Games in 2008. Set to take the title again are Sweden’s Mattias Ekstrom and Denmark's Tom Kristensen, forming team Scandinavia.

The two represented Team Scandinavia for the past four years, taking the ROC Nations Cup in 2005, when they defeated France. Last year they just lost the title, which could have brought them the double, to Team Germany's Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.

"We can’t wait to race against Michael and Sebastian again, as we were disappointed they got the better of us at Wembley. The Bird’s Nest is a fantastic place for this year’s event and a brilliant way for us to finish the season", said Mattias Ekstrom who has a fantastic run in DTM this year, scoring points for his Audi Sport Team Abt in every event so far.

Tom Kristensen had the following to add: "It’s a great event that I always enjoy being part of: fun, relaxed and professional. Racing with Mattias, we have a pretty good track record and I’m really looking forward to competing in Beijing for the first time".

Two-times Race Of Champions winner, Mattias Ekstrom and fellow DTM driver and eight-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen are looking to take the event by storm in what promises to be another thrilling motorsport event.
