Could this be a plot to keep the paparazzi off hero tail? Nobody is going to follow the cheapest truck in California around. A flashy Ferrari or mental Murcielago would attract a lot of unwanted attention.
Actually, this is just the Kristen Stewart way of doing things. From what we understand, it's the very first car she bought when she just started the first Twilight movie. She needed something to get around in and has held on to it ever since.
Robert Pattinson drives a similarly low profile vehicles. “The first car I ever bought was $1,000,” he said about a 1989 BMW he owns in an interview last year. “I thought I negotiated it myself, but I just got reminded that I had just moved to L.A. and I turned up with my agent and my manager literally to negotiate the price of a $1,000 car.”
His second vehicle was and still is a 2001 Silverado he picked up on Craigslist for just $2,500.
