Konichiwa: Real Mario Kart in Japan

Chances are that you’ve already heard of somebody else (Remi Gaillard or Freddiew) but if there’s something strange that needs to be done, you can leave it to the Japanese to overdo it.

The latest laughter trigger from the land of the rising sun features the guys from local car site Cliccar, who have recreated on of the most iconic games from the old Nintendo 64, called Mario Kart. This features your favorite plumber brothers and plenty of mushrooms and bananas.

The two protagonists of this video dress up as Mario and Luigi and take to the busiest streets of Tokyo, where they raise a few eyebrows and have a fair share of cell phone cameras pointed their way.

The video is getting a lot of attention on Youtube right now, and we’re curious to see if they are going to rescue the Japanese Princess Peach from Tokyo Tower.
