Koenigsegg Legera is a 'Baby Koenigsegg' Eager to Battle the Aventador

While some of us dream about their 15 minutes of glory, others make it happen. Yes, we're talking professional designers that have the imagination and the courage to invent or reinvent cars before one can say 'Photoshop'. And it's the supercars we appreciate the most.

After he designed the gorgeous Aston Martin DB11 concept and the PSC Motors SP-200 SIN, 15-year-old Jennarong Muengtaweepongsa - known on the internet for his work done for VanaticalDesign - strikes back with the Koenigsegg Legera.

Design studies involving Koenigsegg models are pretty rare, which means the sight of one is enough to raise some interest. The designer calls this virtual concept a "Baby Koenigsegg", but he also mentions that it would slot under the Agera RS and pose a threat to the likes of Lamborghini Aventador and Pagani Huayra.

A V8 would roar under the hood in the artist's vision, a solution that would provide anywhere between 700 and 800 horsepower. But here's what the car was meant to be according to its creator:

"The car is designed to be a convertible Spyder, like all Koenigseggs, with a removable Targa top. When the top is removed, the bay area above the engine becomes the unique two pillar design seen on the 'Spyder' supercars."

The presence of the name 'Spyder' is by no means coincidental, as there are plenty of design cues inspired by Porsche's 918 Spyder hybrid supercar, but the designer says inspiration came from Koenigsegg's Regera and Agera, but also from the Jaguar C-X75.

When it comes to such creations, we like to know what our readers think of them, so this one makes no exception. Feel free to tells us your opinion of the Legera concept in the comments section below.
