The One:1 may be the most intimidating hypercar ever made by Koenigsegg Automotive AB, but Christian von Koenigsegg won’t stop here. Although not much is known about it right now, we’re told in the first pic of the gallery below that the Swedish brand will unveil something called the Agera RS on March 3rd at the Geneva Motor Show.
After seriously quick machines such as the CC8S, CCXR, Trevita, Agera and One:1, Koenigsegg might surprise us with an extreme take on the Agera R in less than a month’s time. The added S is a tell-tale sign that the upcoming Koenigsegg car is a sort of track-oriented take on the berserk and expensive Agera R.

If our intuition is correct, don’t expect the Koenigsegg Agera RS to rival the range-topping One:1’s 1,340 horsepower. Considering that the Agera R makes do with 1,140 horsepower (when running on E85), our guess is that the RS will slot power-wise in between the One:1 and the Agera R.

A mildly updated 5.0 twin-turbo V8 and a heavy-duty 7-speed dual-clutch box will certainly be featured

What else can we look forward too based on the cryptic teaser photo released by Koenigsegg? Less equipment. Yup, if the RS turns out to be a lightened, faster and more aero-conscious car than the R, then you can say goodbye to amenities like a glass roof, satellite navigation, leather carpets and power windows.

In terms of pudginess, we’re betting our two cents on a curb weight of less than 1,335 kg (2,943 lbs, including all fluids plus 50 percent fuel in the 80-liter tank). Other specifications to expect from the Koenigsegg Agera RS are a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) run of 2.5 seconds tops and a 1.9G max lateral g-force.

Note: the vehicle pictured in the photo gallery below is the Koenigsegg Agera R.
