Christian von Koenigsegg was on hand at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to walk a crew from Jay Leno’s Garage around the new Agera R hypercar.
This 1160 horsepower machine is the first and likely the only one of its kind in the US right now. Like all Koenigseggs, it’s a 2-door, 2-seater coupe with a removable top.

The R makes it a special edition that runs on ethanol instead of petrol, producing massive power from a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Amazing what you can do with Volvo engines! It’s also very light, tipping the scales at only 1,290 kg (2,844 lbs).

Thanks to this power, it will get from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and will theoretically reach a top speed of 420 km/h (260 mph), though this has never actually been done.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
