Kobia Seat Leon Cupra R by Je Design

Since all the news lately are centered around football and the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, the automotive industry tries hard to keep up and hits us with some sports related info from time to time. So is the case with the latest project from the German tuning house Je Design and Kobia, who have revealed the Seat Leon Cupra R Deutschland package.

The target was to make the Seat Leon Cupra R not only faster but also more muscular for the World Cup 2010. Featuring a wide body kit, the package includes a 310 hp WCE performance upgrade and a new livery.

The Je Design Kobia Seat Leon Cupra R Deutschland aerodynamics package includes new front and rear bumpers, wider fenders, new side skirts and a rear roof spoiler, as well as new LED daytime running lights.

Creating the physical and visual connection to the road are the 18 inch rims and 255/35 R 18 tires. The package also includes a sport suspension set that reduces the ride height by up to 40 mm.

Moving on, performance tweaks include an upgrade of the car's standard 2.0-liter TFSI engine that now outputs 310 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

Thanks to the extra power, the Je Design Kobia Seat Leon Cupra R sprints from a naught to sixty in just 5.9 seconds, which means it is 0.3 seconds faster than the standard version. Its top speed has also been increased from 250 km/h to 260 km/h.

However, pricing for the package has not been announced yet.
