British motorcycle armor manufacturer Knox surfaces a new product, the Track Vest. You're looking at an upgraded version of their acclaimed Aegis back protector, not combined with a vest-type garment.
The Knox Track Vest is in fact an CE-approved Level 2 Aegis back protector zipped to a light, moisture-wicking Meryl Lycra vest which also provides a comfortable wear and body shape copying. The protector attaches to the vest with high-quality YKK zippers and is easily removable for washing the gilet.
For shock energy absorption, the Track Vest is filled with a rubber honeycomb compound which also ensures ventilation, together with the perforations in the fabric. We totally loved the large velcro waist adjusting system, as it provides a truly custom fit no matter how thin a rider is, while at the same time also being great for those who enjoy more than 2 or 3 beers.
They say one can never get enough protection in case of a motorcycle crash. While not wearing any sort of protection is a very silly idea, riders could though consider adding the Track Vest to their "arsenal". Priced at $189.95 (€148).
