Frightened by the possibility of losing the world’s strongest armored car title to the Dartz Monaco Red Diamond Edition, the team at Conquest Vehicles recently revealed they have added over 60 new security and luxury upgrades and options to their Knight XV SUV.
The armored, biofuel-powered vehicle is therefore offering more protection and enhanced luxurious feel to its driver and passengers, struggling to catch consumers’ attention once again.
New upgrades include a carbon-fiber instrument panel, a turbo kit, a commercial-grade multi-link air-ride suspension system, a high-performance front brake system with 15.5-inch rotors and 12-pot calipers, bornrich.org reports.
There is also a 24-inch vehicle extension package and right-hand drive conversion, as well as an onboard black-box system that constantly has the record button on and multiple layers of armor.
Standard features include hand-crafted billet-aluminum, leather steering wheel, and ultra-suede seating. An electrostatic window tinting system contributes to the passengers’ privacy while a built-in oxygen survival kit, under-vehicle magnetic attachment detection system, and under-vehicle blast protection provides a strong, safe feeling.
Priced from $489,000, the Knight XV production is limited to just 100 units. The vehicle is powered by a Ford, V10, 6.8-litre gas engine with E-85 Ethanol Conversion system added. Flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) are designed to run on gasoline or a blend of up to 85 percent ethanol (E85). Diesel engine also available as an option.
The power unit is capable of delivering approx. 400 HP and 500 ft lbs. torque through a 5- speed Torqshift automatic transmission.
