What you see here folks is the newest addition to the Knaus bag of tricks. If you haven't heard about this company, Knaus is the maker of some of the more luxurious and capable camper vans, caravans, and motorhomes in the world. And they’ve been building these joy-toys for over sixty years now. So, you know they’ve seen some battles.

Their newest innovation to the camping world comes more in the shape of an add-on. Why do I say this? Because what you see in the cover photo is truly a van with a pop-up roof, and the van can be replaced with nearly any of the models Knaus currently offers. If you want to get to know a bit about the camper vans they offer, just click here and check the team out. Once you’re finished, come back and continue the article.

If you had a look at the brochure the company offers for this add-on, you’d notice it is applicable to no fewer than 14 models! If we were to go through them all, we would be here for much longer than the five minutes of time I'm allowed to take from you. So, for the sake of time and money (as they go hand in hand), I'll keep this short and sweet.

What you need to know about the campers is that they range in comfort and capabilities; they’re mostly the same size, so we won’t cover that aspect. Inside, however, each van includes all the necessary equipment to live completely on the road. Everything from a toilet and shower to a kitchenette and dining area. But one of the most widely appreciated aspects of Knaus campers is their ability to include a huge amount of sleeping space. How much you say? Well, anywhere from a bleak three people, to a massive-motel-on-wheels level of up to seven adults. That’s right, seven adults can be crammed into one of these modified cargo vans (Fiat or MAN).

As for the rooftop modification, this thing is amazing. The entire setup is constructed from compact LFI making sure that insulations and weight aren’t an issue. Even some aerodynamic properties have been put into the design so as to keep the motor running within parameters. And don’t worry about safety issues, as the entire roof is designed as one whole piece. Yes, you can have a party up there without worrying about the roof catching fire.

Inside, however, the living space that is created is just wow! Check out the gallery if you haven’t already and pay attention to how you’ll start getting a nervous leg or some nail biting going; we all know what that means. Here we find a bedding surface just perfect for an intimate moment under the stars. And don’t worry about any critters. Unless they have a knife to cut into your space, you’ll be fine. We also have access to USB sockets, wireless charging, and even a warm air inlet. Oh, and don’t forget the cup holders.

One of the neat things about this space is the use of RGB ambient lighting that lines the edge of the roof. If you never played with lighting for moments like these, you’re missing out. All you need to know is we humans are affected chemically, thus emotionally, based on the sort of colors we see. A massive frontal view is another perk of this roof. And don’t worry, if you don’t want the wildlife watching Nat Geo, just zip up a screen and block out any prying eyes.

So, now that you know a bit of what we can expect from 2021, what are you looking to do with all your saved up cash?
