KLIM Introduces Honda Africa Twin Adventure Riding Gear

KLIM, one of the biggest names in adventure-oriented motorcycle gear, reveals a new collection dedicated to the all-new Honda Africa Twin machine. The new KLIM gear is licensed by Honda, so we're talking about official Africa Twin clothing manufactured and branded by KLIM.

"Collection" may be a little too much, because, in fact, KLIM shows a Latitude jacket with matching trousers and an Inferno "mid layer" soft shell detachable thermal liner. All three garments have been redesigned and are now available in black with red accents and Africa Twin logos.

Unlike in other cases, where fashion seems to prevail over function when it comes to bike-branded riding gear, KLIM's Africa Twin holds functionality in the highest esteem. The jacket and pants are among the best garments KLIM offers and have been engineered to withstand the rigors of true adventure riding and offer more than good looks.

Gore-TEX and D3O armor for the KLIM Africa Twin gear

KLIM uses a top-drawer Gore-TEX liner for the jacket and pants, making sure the water stays out even after long hours of riding in the rain, while perspiration is allowed to pass to the exterior. Wind protection and the durability of the climatic membrane are also top features of the Latitude gear.

When it comes to impact protection, KLIM is also avoiding making compromises. The Africa Twin jacket and trousers come with integrated armor panels, but they are nothing short of special.

Unlike other garments that come with standard protectors, the new KLIM line has panels made from the magic D3O polymer, one of the biggest breakthrough materials that are being used to limit the injuries in case of a crash.

The jacket comes with no less than 11 pockets, advpulse informs, whereas the pants have only three. However, the pockets' cargo capacity is, reportedly, "massive." 3M Scotchlite reflective inserts and panels are also on the menu, as well as multiple zipped vents.

No price was mentioned, but we know that the Africa Twin adventure gear will be available at the KLIM dealers exclusively starting April.
