I don’t know how much this is going to help humanity, but here it is - Toyota’s humanoid Kirobo robot held its first conversation with a human in space.
Jointly developed by Toyota, RCAST and Robo Garage, Kirobo has been sent to the International Space Station (ISS) back in August this year and it has been waiting since for Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Koichi Wakata to arrive and begin the experiment.
On December 6th, Wakata and Kirobo held their conversation experiment on board the ISS, marking the first one of its kind in the world which you can watch in the video bellow.
While RCAS and Robo Garage developed all the hardware for the 38 cm robot, Toyota gave “him” life with the voice recognition software.
