It’s time for one more exhilarating meeting with the spectacular creations of Paolo Tesio, one of the most intriguing Ducati Monster modders around. After successfully starting production for the three Monster body kits, Paolo came up with a custom exhaust to match the tail section of these bikes.
Looking at the new exhaust system should be enough for everyone to understand that Mr. Tesio is doing so much more than playing with some slip-on cans and call things “custom”. Speaking with him yesterday, he told me that these are “studies”, but he plans to integrate the new underseat exhaust into the old Monster tail he created.

It’s not sure yet who will manufacture this mind-blowing exhaust system, but things could be on the move fairly soon, especially as I can almost hear the Ducatisti screaming for such an upgrade for their bikes. The whole system integrates perfectly with the S4R, and is intended to be an easy bolt-on update. The headers can be manufactured from welded titanium rings or even from larger segments, pretty much like Akrapovic headers are made.

The silencer may give the manufacturer a bit of trouble with its almost organic shape, but Termignoni is no stranger to such designs, either. So there are plenty of choices to help see this Ducati Monster custom exhaust being produced on a larger scale.

Again, seeing these fluid shapes makes me wonder how much cooler the motorcycling world would be if exhaust manufacturers heeded such designers more… I’ll be back with an update when Paolo sends me the whole rendered bike with the new exhaust, so watch this space.
