Kiefer Sutherland Drives a Range Rover

Kiefer Sutherland doesn’t seem to be affected by the Hollywood fame fever and uses an old Range Rover to commute, celebritycarsblog.com reported, just like an ordinary individual. In fact, the actor, who is best known for the Jack Bauer character on the FOX series 24, is in not the show-off type.

However, Sutherland has always had problems with the law, mostly because he was caught driving under alcohol influence. In 1989, he was arrested for DUI and carrying a concealed and loaded weapon.

He made a deal with the prosecutors in which he admitted to the drink driving, so the other charges were dropped. He was arrested again in 1993, for the same misdemeanor, when he got 211 hours of community service. In 2004, he does it again.

On 25 September 2007, Sutherland was pulled over by the police after making an illegal U-turn. Therefore, he was arrested again based on drunk driving charges, his second time since the other incident in 2004, after failing a field sobriety test. His test exceeded the state's legal blood alcohol limit, and he was later released on $25,000 bail.

Sutherland pleaded no contest the DUI charge and was sentenced to 48 days in jail. Initially, he arranged to spend 18 days in jail during 24’s winter break in late December and early January 2008, planning to return to jail after production wrapped up.

However, the Hollywood writers' strike interrupted production, allowing him to serve his sentence in 48 consecutive days.

We wonder how much time will have to pass before Sutherland is arrested again based on the same alcohol-related problem. Meanwhile, he seems to mind his own business, driving a Range Rover that is not that eye-catching.
