After watching Ed Sheeran failing at what later turned out to be his first ever ride on The Stig’s playground last week, it would seem time has come for some serious celebrity track driving. Even though we’re going to have to wait until Sunday to see the whole thing, teasing pictures are already available showing the 24 star getting the proper indication from Top Gear’s “Tame Racing Driver”.
Ends might justify the means of Keith Sutherland’s famous character, Jack Bauer, the Golden Globe winning actor has been impersonating for Fox’s 24 TV series, but when it comes to driving on track rules change. After all, these action scenes and considerable amounts of stunt driving training have to count for something. And it appears they do since the 48-year old actor seemed quite sure of himself as he posed next to Top Gear’s test driver.
This being said, it’s now confirmed that the next big star we’re about to see starring in the motoring show’s "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" segment is nobody else but the famous British-Canadian actor. Even though we’re pretty sure he knows the way to handle an everyday car, we’re sure Sutherland had encountered some difficulties holding the grip of the red Vauxhall Astra, since the steering wheel is on the other side of the car.
Will he get the big prize? He’s going to be better than fellow American and Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, who’s top of the leaderboard with a time of 1:44.7. AC/DC star Brian Johnson has the next spot on the podium, so things are tight. Tight, but not impossible.
Well, we’re going to find out, won’t we?
