Kia VG Concept Interior Revealed

As we told you at the end of March, prior to the debut of the Seoul Motor Show, Korean manufacturer Kia was getting ready to unveil the VG concept car (codenamed KND-5). Today the manufacturer came back on the subject and released, via kia-buzz.com, new photos and sketches of the concept, hinting that soon we will be seeing a production version of the car.

Kia has also released some of the details behind the design of the VG premium sedan concept. We already told you in our previous coverage that the VG will be powered by several engines, including a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, a 3.5-liter and a V6 Lambda.

At the aforementioned event, the VG was encased in a glass booth so visitors and journalists, try as they might, did not get a chance to see the interior of the VG. Some of the photos here depict what we missed back in April.

The seats come in Alcantara leather and high-end appointments and are created to give you a place to sit and enjoy both the ride and the infotainment systems featured on the VG. Techs and toys in the VG include a "industry's first" 12.3 inch full HD LCD cluster, data conversion type start button and AMOLED 7 inch display.

On the outside, the VG features a panoramic sunroof and a front grille made of a translucent acrylic material, as well as 20 inch alloy wheels. The VG boasts a long cabin, while the whole body was created, as Kia says, in accordance with its “sophistication through simplicity” philosophy.

As we told you back in March, the VG will arrive later this year in Korea and in the US in early 2010. Whereas this is yet uncertain, the fact that the concept will turn production has been confirmed by Kia.
