Kia used this year’s edition of the Paris Motor Show to introduce the new pro_cee’d, but the car we wanted to see was its rumored muscular version. Well, the carmaker is now offering us a teaser image of what will be its first take on the hot hatch concept, the pro_cee’d GT.
The carmaker released the adjacent design sketch, which should give us an idea of the differences between a standard pro_cee’d and the upcoming GT version. The most striking elements, besides the generously-sized wheels, are the LEDs mounted where the fog lights were supposed to be places, as well as the red line on the lower front fascia.
The pro_cee’s GT, which is scheduled to be launched in the second half of next year, will follows the current trend of downsizing and will thus use a turbocharged 1.6-liter GDI powerplant, which will work with a six-speed manual gearbox. Since Hyundai recently announced that it is aiming to introduce a new range of dual-clutch developments, we can expect this to be offered as an option, possibly later in the model’s life cycle.
