Kia to Launch New ‘Hamster-Centric’ Ad Campaign for the Soul

Kia will soon be launching its wave of hamster-infused ads, to promote the Kia Soul, a car which is apparently far more popular around the world than we first thought. The first ad campaign with hamsters was launched at the same time as the Soul, back in 2009, and it propelled the car to unimaginable heights of popularity.

Since then, two more hamster-centric ad campaigns have been launched, which have maintained the Soul as Kia’s second-best selling model, in the US. According to Michael Sprague, Kia’s VP for Marketing and Communications, the main reason for the Soul’s sales record were, in fact, the ad campaigns which were targeted at a specific age range, and a specific type of person - tech-savvy and trendy.

However, Sprague goes on to say that the hamsters that made the Soul successful almost didn’t make it to the big screen, as they could have been replaced by backpack-carrying boars - how weird would that have been?
