It's all about soccer with Kia, lately. After Hyundai (its mother company) sponsored this year’s FIFA World Cup, it would seem the South Koreans are not ready to leave South America quite yet. The auto makers have recently announced their partnership with Chile’s 44 Copa America, to be held next year.
The 44th Copa America 2015 hosted by Chile is a soccer event that will take place from June 11 to July 4, next year. As the platinum sponsor of the soccer championship for national teams within South America, Kia has already sent 10 of the company’s vehicle to ANFP, Chile’s professional football association.

Kia’s frontline vehicles, including the Sorento, Sprotage and Quoris, will be responsible for meeting the travel needs of tournament delegations all across Chile. According to the automaker, the new partnership started at the Copa America draw on November 24.

We did already wrote about the way automakers chose their sports to promote their new models worldwide. For some reason Kia chose for soccer and we must say they did push the pedal on this one.

Hyundai like soccer

Hyundai Motor Company seems to be the leading auto sponsor in soccer considering they were the same to back up this year’s FIFA World Cup, held in Brazil, and will also be the official auto sponsor of the 2016 Euro Championship, through Kia.

After all, soccer is clearly the most popular sport in terms of fans. Records are there are around 3.3-3.5 billion soccer fans all around the world, as the game is played by 250 millions pro footballers in over 200 countries.
