Kia Motors America recently partnered with Cartoon Network’s “Adult Swim,” for which Atlanta-based graffiti artist “Hense” was commissioned to paint a Kia Soul vehicle, themed with characters from Adult Swim’s “Aqua Teen Hunger Force.”

This project debuted online on May 4 at ‘Adult Swim’ (an animated and live action series for young adults) with footage and interview with Hense, and also official rules on how to make this customized KIA yours.

“Kia Motors understands the unique nature of the youth market and the importance of remaining true to their interests and lifestyle,” said John O’Hara, executive vice president and general sales manager, Adult Swim and sister network Cartoon Network Ad Sales and Marketing.

“This content speaks directly to their culture by showcasing an up-and-coming artist who will add to the well-like Kia Soul design with art inspired by their favorite Adult Swim programs. It will be the ultimate prize for any Adult Swim fan.”

Enthusiasts can go to the custom-branded Web site www.adultswim.com/kiasoul to enter to win the limited-edition car starting June 1 through Jun 28, as reported by kia-buzz.com. Available in four distinctive trim levels, Soul, Soul+, Soul! and Soul sport, Soul pricing begins at less than $14,000 and is on sale at Kia retailers nationwide.

“Appealing to the youth market is important to Kia Motors and we feel the perfect way to do that is through custom and visually appealing promotions,” said Michael Sprague, vice president of marketing of KMA.

“This is a timely and on-target promotion to give a lucky Adult Swim fan the chance to win a popular Soul urban passenger vehicle, which just recently began arriving at dealerships nationwide.”

This is not the first time that Kia Motors America is offering a Kia Soul as a prize, in order to increase its brand awareness. This year, Kia also partnered with Microsoft and FIFA to reward gamers, as part of the marketing strategy.
