Kia Sorento Among the Top 10 Family Cars of 2011

Since its arrival in January last year, the 2011 Kia Sorento CUV has received a lot of attention from US customers thanks to its versatility and attractive base price. As a result of this popularity, the car has received a long list of awards over the past year. Adding to that list, the vehicle has recently been named one of the "Top 10 Family Cars of 2011" by Kelley Blue Book.

Among the contributing factors that made this possible, the publication states that the vehicle’s mix of ride and handling as well as a stylish and functional interior is mainly to blame.

As one of several recently introduced and dynamically styled products from Kia, Sorento accounts for more than 30 percent of our sales volume, making it the most popular vehicle in the Kia lineup," said Michael Sprague, vice president, marketing & communications, Kia Motors America.

The CUV has achieved a number of significant milestones for Kia, including becoming the company's first vehicle to surpass 100,000 units sold in a single year and being the first vehicle built at Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG) in West Point.

The car currently offered in base, LX and EX trim levels, with each of these three coming with 17-inch alloy wheels with 235/65R17 tires and wheel moldings.
