After a successful event last year, Kia has decided to once again become the exclusive presenting sponsor of the 2015 YouTube Music Awards, in partnership with YouTube and executive producer Vice Media. The event will take place next year in March and will celebrate the emerging artists of 2015.
The first edition was held last year at New York City’s Pier 36 and was broadcast live at Youtube.com/YTMA. Some of the notable artists who performed at the event include M.I.A., Lady Gaga and Eminem. The award show was scheduled for 90 minutes and fans could vote in each category by posting a specific link from the event’s account on either their Facebook, Google+ or Twitter.

The video with the most posts in each category was the winner, with the artist of the year award being won by Eminem and the music video of the year award won by Girls’ Generation with I Got A Boy. Kia was the main sponsor of the event and the company now announced they will continue their partnership.

Following the 2013 YouTube Music Awards’ success, with more than 54 million total views, we can’t wait to make the 2015 event even bigger!” the South Koreans said in a press release.

According to the auto maker, over the upcoming weeks, some of the most talented musicians and artists around the world will release music videos on the YTMA channel. One of the first that have already become quite popular online is a clip presented by Kia featuring American rock band Weezer in a surprise performance.

Question is how good are you at playing an instrument?
