Automotive News today reports on one of Kia’s main operations in the US being shut. The plant in Georgia will not operate on Monday and Tuesday his week, and we don’t have a statement as to why.
"Production is currently scheduled to resume at 6:30 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, March 21," Kia said in a statement.

Reports indicate a fire at a Georgia factory operated by Daehan Solution might be to blame, though the information has not been confirmed.

Both the Sorento SUV and the Optima sedan are built in Georgia, though it’s not expected two days of shutdown will significantly affect stockpiles.

Daehan operates out of a $35 million manufacturing plant in Harris County, with a workforce of about 300 people. They make interior components, as well s vibration control systems.
