Once again, automakers find that the English language is not enough to name the products they find so revolutionary. And this time, it’s Korean carmaker Kia who invented a word for the K9 flagship sedan: Quoris.
According to Kia’s official blog, the name is supposed to be a combination of the words ‘core’ and ‘quality’.

“The word ‘Quoris’ conveys solidity, luxury and high-technology, all resonating together as a chorus. Our decision to give this striking new sedan an unconventional name means it will stand out even further from the established crowd, driving Kia sales in what is a new segment of the global automotive market for Kia,” said Thomas Oh, Kia’s Executive Vice President & COO of the International Business Division.

The car will be produced and exported from Korea and will have a number of innovative features: Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), which can stop the car completely if needed, lane-departure warning, a Head UP Display, Blind Spot Detection. It’s also pretty easy to notice that it’s got full-LED headlights.
