New Kia GT Rear-Wheel-Drive Concept Photos Leaked Ahead of Frankfurt Debut

We already knew that Kia was bringing a rear-wheel-drive sedan concept to the Frankfurt Auto Show and now new images of the GT V-8 Concept have leaked, just ahead of the German event.

As you can see, we are dealing with an evolution of Kia's evolution, to say so. First of all, the South Korean automotive producer did the right thing by tackling the four-door coupe segment, as this is one of the most shiny raising starts in the contemporary automotive industry.

Next.... well, just take a look at those styling cues. They really are worthy of the vehicle's designation, "GT", which can be found on the rear plate. This means that the car won't receive the Veredus designation, as it was previously thought.

And, if the concept will become an everyday driving reality, it has all the chances to be an excellent car. How is that? Simple: just "look" under the hood, where the car is expected to hide the 5.0-liter V8 unit uses by the sister company Hyundai's Genesis R-Spec.

Under the metal, we could find the platform that will be used the previously-announced luxury rear-wheel-drive saloon that will be launched in the US next year.

We know that this is a far stretch, but his could, with a serious amount of "if"s, become a serious contender for German supersaloons. Of course, a certain number of generations need to be rolled out before Kia can really challenge the Germans, but this is an extremely interesting proposition.
