The all-new Kia Cee’d, sister car of the equally-new Hyundai i30 has just been tested by Euro NCAP, and the results are very good. The Slovakian-built car scored a maximum five-star rating - we were honestly expecting it to, really. According to the official statement, the adult occupant protection rating of 89% signifies that the car is extremely safe, with absolutely no real negative aspects.
Furthermore, the Cee’d scored an equally-impressive 88% in the child occupant test, as well as in the pedestrian and safety assist categories. Couple these excellent safety results with the car’s excellent pricing, warranty and frugal engines, and the Cee’d is shaping up to be an excellent solution for moderately-sized families who need to get around Europe’s cities.

Factor in the rather excellent styling, the solid, high-quality interior, as well as its very well thought out, practical and safe interior, and the Kia Cee’d is turning out to be a real and very tough-to-beat contender in the class - something which five years ago, people would have laughed at.
