By now, we're all used to putting Porsche's name into the same sentence with "Nurburgring record". But all those world-class achievements take place in dry conditions, so how about a blitz of the sort that happens in the wet, with a new Manthey Racing Package and Kevin Estre in the saddle?
You know, The Kevin Estre, who set the official 6:54 Ring lap time of the 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (amazing achievement, especially since we're talking about a N/A machine with just 520 hp).

The factory driver throws the car at the Wet Hell as if he was a teenager relying on Forza Motorsport driving aids. Of course, countersteering is the name of the game, with this even happening on the rough surface of the Carousel.

And the typical Nurburgring weather wasn't the only enemy of the Porscha - the driver of another GT3 RS simply wouldn't let Kevin pass and you'll be able to check it all out at the 7:47 point of the clip below.

As for the that MR package, it seems this is a new development of the Porsche-owned racing team that gave us the amazing GT2 RS MR. The aero kit is fresh, mixing the super-sized carbon wing of the said 2RS with front canards and a GT3 R racecar rear diffuser.

The track day cocktail also includes Porsche's magnesium wheels, along with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires using a rain-specific setup (think: 2.2 bar at the back and 2.1 bar up front).

Oh, and let's not forget the KW Competition setup featuring a Green Hell-specific Manthey Racing setup.

Heck, this lap is quicker than most dry adventures and if you're wonderin about the wide racing lines, this is the correct path in the wet.

As if the wet 8:3x Bridge To Gantry adventure wasn't enough on its own, this was all done for charity. To be more precise, a lap shower of the sort cost EUR600, with the proceeds being used to help children hospitals thanks to a French entity called Association Du Sport et Plus.

PS: For the record, Kevin's 6:54 dry lap in the non-MR GT3 RS can be found in the second video below.
