If you've ever tinkered about your motorcycle, then the name Haynes needs no detailed introduction. The newest book in their offer is a most interesting one, from both a mechanical and a historic point of view: "Classic Motorcycle Race Engines", by Kevin Cameron.
This book is a hefty, detailed 408-page motorcycle racing encyclopedia: no less than 50 of the world's iconic racing engines are presented in great detail and with explanations to enlighten pretty much any bike engineering enthusiast.
Cameron presents old and contemporary engines, alike, from the early Moto Guzzi single-cylinder units to the Kawasaki and Yamaha 750cc two-strokes, and down to the recent MotoGP beasts Ducati, Honda and Yamaha came up with.
