Yamaha has handed riding legends Kenny Roberts and Gary Jones lifetime achievement awards, in a year-end event which also concluded the 2013 charity fundraising.
Three-times a world champion and the first American rider to achieve a MotoGP world title, Kenny "The King" Roberts made quite an entrance aboard his TZ750 dirt track machine, much to the crowd's joy.
He joined Gary Jones, 4-time 250cc motocross champion, as well as other big American racing names, such as Josh Herrin (2013 AMA Superbike Champion), Cameron Beaubier (2013 AMA Sportbike Champion), Jessica Patterson (2013 Women’s MX Champion) and Chad Weinen (2013 ATV Champion).
The company's efforts raised more than $100,000 (€) and all the money will be donated to Feed the Children, Yamaha's charity of choice.
