The Hoonicorn RTR is arguably in the top 5 most insanely tuned Ford Mustangs in history, but the Gymkhana-ready monster wasn't bonkers enough for Ken Block, apparently.
Enter the Hoonicorn V2, which is every bit of insane as the first version, only two times more kooky. The 410 ci (6.7 liters) Roush-Yates V8 can now play with a twin-turbo setup and a methanol injection system thrown into the mix.

If the 845 hp developed by the original model was a bit too much for some people's tastes, the 1,400 hp of the Hoonicorn V2 is downright unnecessary. Not that we mind.

We got approval for a new video concept using the Hoonicorn, but I needed more power for what I needed it to do,” said Block. “So, I developed the concept for the general idea of what I wanted - two turbos sticking out the hood - and handed that over to my team. They came back with a functional way to make that happen and added methanol to get the setup to produce the power that I wanted. We ended up with 1,400 horsepower! Ha, so they may have over-delivered a bit -and I’m happy about that!

In other words, it all started from Ken Block wanting a different look for the all-wheel-drive '65 Mustang from hell, and that whole new design brought some extra 555 hp with it. Not bad!

Speaking of looks, the Hoonicorn V2 Mustang also has an all-new livery based on the “stars and stripes,” thus making the car stand out even more and simply scream that it's 'Merican to the bone.

Obviously, the extra oomph of the now twin-turbocharged engine will prove to be a bit difficult to handle, particularly as it probably brings a bit of turbo-lag into the combination.

Even Block himself admits that it will be a challenge: “When I say that this is the absolute most frightening thing I’ve ever driven, I’m not exaggerating. AT ALL. The motor revs and spins my Toyo tires to destruction so quickly that I can’t change the gears fast enough. It’s genuinely a mind-numbing, crazy experience to try to drive this thing. It’s amazing.” We bet it is, Ken, we can't wait to see the first video with it roasting its tires while going sideways.
