The BMW 1M Coupe already has an impressive array of tuning options available from companies around the world. That's not surprising as the 1M Coupe has only been built in 6,331 units and is thus one of the most desirable BMWs ever made.
Kelleners Sport is a BMW-specialized tuning company from (where else) Germany, founded by 3-time European Touring Car Championship winner Helmut Kelleners. For the last 20 years they've been creating high-performance parts for BMWs but no completely reworked vehicle up until now.
The 1M Coupe, that was revealed today, is the company's first fully tuned BMW and they couldn't've picked a better car. They call it the KS1-S but we prefer to call it "the Black Demon".
KS1-S sports new MS Grille Inserts and a carbon fibre front spoiler lip for the front bumper and racing stripes going from the kidney grilles up the bonnet, on the roof and all the way back to the boot lid.
The performance tweaking kit includes a custom exhaust system with 83mm stainless steel tailpipes, adjustable sport suspension and an engine performance upgrade kit.
The engine upgrade kit includes an ECU remap that takes the power output of the 3-liter N54 engine up to 400 HP and 400 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque for stage 1. Going for Stage 2, you'll get a bigger intercooler and new turbo downpipes that help the engine reach a total power of 420 HP and 435 lb-ft (590 Nm) of torque. That's one of the most powerful 1M's we've ever seen
After dealing with the power and engine tweaking, the guys from Kellenes focused on other smaller details. The wheels measure 20 inches, are called Hamburg and come in a Graphite Silver Polished finish. Opening the door will reveal the new aluminum door sills logos, a new set of floor mats, new black and white leather seats and aluminum covered pedals.
Kelleners' project looks good and the numbers sound great. For a first project they didn't do too bad. All they have to do now is show the world what the KS1-S is capable of.
