Considering the fact that Kawasaki usually reveal a new ZX-6R about a year after the introduction of a new ZX-10R, and with the latest version of the latter having been introduced nearly two years ago, visordown.com say that we should be expecting a new version of the 600cc bike later this year.
The new ‘hypothetical’ ZX-6R would actually be two generations ahead of any of its competitors, as the current model, launched in 2009, is already a newer than all its mainstream rivals, the oldest of which being the Honda CBR 600 which has remained basically unchanged since 2007 when it had its last major update.

Styling-wise, the ZX-6R is expected to borrow many of the styling cues of its more powerful sibling, the ZX-10R which underwent a major overhaul for the 2011 model-year.
