Good and bad news from Team Green: their all-new Z250 street machine has surfaced and looks awesome, but it will be sold only in Asia, at least for the moment.
In its essence, the 2013 Z250 is a naked 250 Ninja with Z-series modern styling when it comes to the front of the bike. While the rear looks very similar (if not even identical) to the way 250 Ninja ends, the front of the motorcycle beings in the classic edgy, aggressive lines of the Z800. The front cowl has received a bit of tweaking but a quick look is more than enough to figure out which family does the new bike belong to.

The handlebars are a it taller and wider to meet the steering requirements of cross-town traffic and will definitely make riding the Z250 easier. The power unit is the same one as in the 250 Ninja: a 249cc, 4-stroke parallel-twin, liquid-cooled injected engine coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.

Unfortunately there is no word whether Kawasaki plans a 300cc Z-bike for North America and Europe. However, given the battle of smaller-displacement motorcycles "invading" the markets, we might see the green K changing their plans.
