Kawasaki Ninja H2 Is Too Fast, Couldn't Get a Better Shot

Kawasaki has uploaded the first action video of the upcoming Ninja H2 bike, but unfortunately, no clear shot could be extracted from it. However, several conclusions can be drawn after watching the new video, and the first of them is that the H2 is definitely not a sport-touring bike like early rumors had it. We’re in for an all-out superbike built for mind-boggling speed, which might arrive in a street-legal trim and a track-only version.

Another thing this skimpy video appears to reveal is that we’re not going to receive a liter-class bike. I may be wrong, of course, but the looks of the very fast fly-by machine would rather indicate a 650-750cc engine than the forced-induction 1000cc-class ZX-10R-like power unit.

Of course, this supposition is also backed by the recurring Mach IV 750 references which Kawasaki have made straight from the beginning of the teaser campaign. Has Akashi developed a new 3-cylinder turbo/supercharged engine, or was final version of the 4-cylinder mill introduced last fall not a liter-class, but a smaller one?

Judging by other rumors which had Kawasaki also working on a high-revving in-line 4 quarter-liter machine, I’d put my money on a 750cc 4-cylinder lump at the heart of the H2, but until clearer photos surface, it’s only a guessing game.

Finally, this bike is definitely going to put a big smile on the face of speed addicts, as it looks like it will be a killer deal (excuse the pun): a small, lightweight machine more or less the size and weight of a Ninja 636, but with more power than the ZX-10R can dream of… how’s that for a bike that can really change the whole game?
