Another day, another video teaser released by Kawasaki, this time showing how the impeller of the planetary gears supercharger system is fabricated. This one is a truly a neat piece of tech-related insight, showing a 5-axis CNC machine progressively cutting out the intricate shape of the impeller. This is a part which literally mixes high-tech engineering, high-precision manufacturing techniques and a hefty dash of artsy design.
However, the fact that Kawasaki uses CNC machines to craft a spectacular impeller from a block of billet aluminium is definitely not the main piece of news for the day. One of the forums dedicated to the Ninja H2 has recently surfaced some new things about the power figure of the street version, as well as the prices these two bikes H2 and H2R are said to be sold for.
The same source also mentions the prices for the two new Ninja machines. The H2R is said to arrive with a $65,000 price, while its street-legal sibling could come with a $30,000 price. For what’s worth, this would make €51,300 and €23,700, respectively. Not exactly insane, if we think about the prices the new 2015 BMW S1000RR, Ducati 1299 Panigale or similar machinery will sell for. As for the track-machine, it’s either pay and murder all competition, or don’t pay and watch others do it.
A 250hp street bike
Now, the H2R was indeed a game-changer with its power rating around the 300 hp figure, so we could expect that the street version, the H2 would also be in the dream realm. The source claims that the Kawasaki Ninja H2 will arrive with a 250 hp power engine. The info apparently leaked via an “inside screenshot” of what looks like a webpage or brochure page with some tech specs on it.The same source also mentions the prices for the two new Ninja machines.
