Monster Energy Kawasaki is preparing for next year’s championships and has released the 2017 racing teams. Two-time champion Eli Tomac will return in a full-time role along with Josh Grant.
After being crowned the 2012 250 cc Monster Energy Supercross West Region Champion and 2013 250 cc AMA Pro Motocross Champion, Tomac has added several 450 class supercross and motocross wins to his record. He now looks to put his KX450F up in the top spot of the podium next year.
On behalf, Grant is beginning his ninth year in the premier class will compliment the team with his talent and multiple motocross and supercross wins. He looks to continue his winning ways and battle his teammate for taking the 2017 crown.
“Our entire Monster Energy Kawasaki team is ready for the demands of the upcoming season,” said Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager Dan Fahie. “Preparation has been going great for both our riders heading into the 2017 season and we could not be happier with the progress the entire team has made during the off season.”
Tomac signed with Monster Energy Kawasaki in 2016, earning four podiums and a win at Daytona, finishing the supercross season fourth overall. He upped up his game for the AMA Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, finishing on the podium no less than eight times as well as wining at Southwick and Washougal.
Josh Grant joined Monster Energy Kawasaki at Round 11 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross after Wil Hahn was injured earlier in the season. Grant rode strong and consistent for the remaining seven races, gaining momentum for the outdoor trials. Unfortunately, and injury kept him too from riding at full throttle and was forced to retire from the season at Round 4.
However, the Monster Energy racing team has set its target high for the podium in 2017 with a four-man squad. Joey Savatgy and Adam Cianciarulo are returning for their third and fourth year on the team, respectively.
