I’m not sure whether it looks more like a spaceship, a rugged robot or some cyberpunk-type entity, but I dig it.
While the art of motorcycle customization isn’t Jordi Soldevila’s main occupation, this fellow certainly knows what he’s doing. As time went by, the moto artist embarked on several bespoke adventures, some of which have been documented on his Instagram profile.

For a clear demonstration of this guy’s spectacular abilities, we'll be having a quick look at one of his most notable exploits. To be a little more specific, the project is based on a 1990 variant in Kawasaki’s GPX 600 R family, and the makeover process was completed back in 2017 – after 27 painstaking months, that is.

The donor is powered by a liquid-cooled DOHC inline-four mill, with sixteen valves and a displacement of 592cc. This nasty piece of Japanese machinery will deliver up to 85 hp at 11,000 rpm, along with 39 pound-feet (53 Nm) of torque at 8,000 revs. A six-speed transmission hands the engine’s force over to a chain final drive, leading to a generous top speed of 130 mph (210 kph).

As soon as he sketched a satisfactory design on paper, Soldevila teamed up with a local welder to construct a one-off subframe and tweak the bike’s exhaust system for a neater aesthetic. Additionally, any unnecessary mounting points were chopped off, while the stock foot pegs were relocated closer to the rear end.

To bring about a considerable improvement in the handling department, the mastermind disposed of the machine’s standard brakes, wheels and suspension setups to make room for a Suzuki GSX-R750 K7’s modules. The following step consisted of fabricating GPX 600 R’s new bodywork using fiberglass as the main material. You will find a curvy front fairing, a slim tail section and one sexy gas tank adorning Jordi’s unique creature.

Furthermore, lighting is taken good care of by aftermarket LED units, accompanied by a tiny halogen headlight at the front. To give this beast a personality of its own, Jordi Soldevila named his masterpiece Madness 598 R.

What are your thoughts on this drool-worthy feat?
