Kato Rides Custom H-D V-Rod Muscle in Green Hornet

One of the most impressive rides to star in the latest 3D super-hero action comedy The Green Hornet, which is set to hit worldwide cinemas this month, will feature a customized Harley-Davidson V-Rod motorcycle. Ridden by the Green Hornet’s sidekick, Kato (played by actor Jay Chou), in several scenes throughout the movie, the bike adds to a long line of silver screen Harleys that goes back to Easy Rider’s Captain America.

Kato’s V-Rod Muscle features a chopped rear fender, V-Rod Destroyer wheels, rear-set foot controls, and a one-off LED headlamp.

Another star of the movie is a car based on a 1965 Chrysler Crown Imperial. The production crew modified 29 Chrysler Imperials from model years 1964 to 1966 to portray the Green Hornet's luxurious supercar, the Black Beauty.

'The Green Hornet’ is based on 1960’s Marvel comic book series about a masked crime-fighting duo. It was also made into a radio series and a television show and it was this TV show that launched the acting career of Bruce Lee, who played Kato.

The 2011 movie stars Seth Rogan, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz and Christoph Waltz. You can watch the teaser trailer right here.

“Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimately in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato's clever gadgets, the Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt's new Secretary Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA's gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz),”
the plot synopsis on IMDB reads.
