German automaker Volkswagen is introducing a new pack of optional goodies for the Polo and Golf. The company was determined to make the new release shine, so it decided to appoint fashion designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld to introduce it.

Getting to the point, we’ll tell you that we are actually dealing with two versions, the STYLE and the STYLE-Plus, with both offering customers important savings over the cost of the separate items.

Gifting your Polo/Golf with the STYLE pack brings a set of lightweight alloy rims, fog lamps, privacy glass (tinted side and rear windows) as well as STYLE badging. The STYLE-Plus offers the same goodies, adding a sunroof or a panorama roof and replacing the rims with a different model.

The packages also target the Golf wagon and Golf Plus, and are available with the majority of engines and equipment levels. The packs have already been released in Germany.

The Volkswagen Polo STYLE comes with a starting price of EUR14,075, offering a customer advantage of EUR1,885. As for the Golf Style, this starts at EUR18,825, allowing you to save EUR2,335. The STYLE-Plus brings a saving of EUR865.

We have to admit that this is one of the most interesting marketing moves destined for an optional extras package we’ve ever seen. This kind of offers are usually seen as being useful and therefore regarded with interest, but they don’t normally come with a cool image, so we can say that the Germans have really achieved something important here.
