With Can-Am updating the range of ATVs for 2012 and preparing even more changes for the next year, another leading brand in the automotive industry joins their endeavor. K&N announces the CM-8009 High Flow reusable air filter for select 2009-2012 Outlander and Renegade models.
Even though the Outlander 800R uses the same 71 BHP engine, the ATV has received a lot of modifications, such as the redesigned and re-positioned air box, which is now in a higher place and more to the center of the machine.
With the dual-chamber design, Bombardier hopes to get the engine running in better conditions, as the quality of the air in a combustion engine affects performance directly. The new K&N CM-8009 washable air filter comes with an included adapter tube and replaces the standard filter on the spot, no modifications needed.
The K&N CM-8009 is an air filter consisting of a special, oiled cotton gauze caught between two aluminium wire mesh parts ensuring maximal flow. Using the Recharger Filter Service Kit, customers will be able to wash and re-oil the filter, and restore it to the initial state, for yet another long period of flawless operation.
