Justin Bieber is obviously trying to leave the “kiddo” image behind, aiming for a more mature approach. Now that he visits the gym on the regular basis, the Canadian singer seems determined to convince its car to do the same. Thus, Bieber has decided to move from his current Ferrari 458 Italia to a LaFerrari. Oh dear!
Bieber recently talked to USA Today in a bid to let the world know how exactly he’s changed. We weren’t too interested, but Bieber did manage to get our attention when he got to the automotive side of the interview - “I'm still driving my Ferrari. It's a 458 Italia, and I just got the LaFerrari (the company's exclusive $1.4 million supercar), it should be coming soon.”
After the initial shock, we started wondering if the statement is true - while there are obviously no official word on this, rumor has it any customer must have owned at least five other Prancing Horse models in order to be eligible for purchasing Maranello’s hypercar.
So far, the LaFerrari has had its fair share of famous owners, with Jay Kay, Gordon Ramsay and Lewis Hamilton having jumped the LaFerrari bandwagon. We’re not sure about the F1 driver, but we know both Jamiroquai’s top man and the famous Chef have had multiple Ferraris in the past.
Regardless, the prospect of Bieber getting 950 hp (963 PS) on his hands is not exactly a nice way to end the week. Just think about all the issues he’s had behind the wheel.
The trouble Bieber has caused in his 458 should be enough reason for him to stay away from the LaFerrari, which can easily be described as an upsized version of the 458. The Canadian hit a pedestrian and was chased by ex-NFL Keyshawn Johnson after speeding through the latter’s gated community. In addition, Bieber was involved in a controversial crash that saw his supercar being rear-ended by a Paparazzi’s Prius.
Oh well, this just seems to add to all the LaFerrari irony.
