The accident the girl in this video had is scary because of one thing: it can happen to pretty much anyone riding a motorized two-wheel vehicle, even without speeding. Bumps on the road can easily affect the trajectory of the vehicle and cause a hard, nasty crash, in case the operator has no firm grip on the handlebars.
This crash could have been easily prevented if the girl had a former grip on the bars, allowing her to counterbalance the wobble and hopefully remain upright. The small bump on the bridge was definitely not enough to cause control loss, but it simply coupled with the (too) relaxed riding manner of the girl.
While grasping the controls of a bike in a “deathgrip” is not at all a solution, maintaining a firm hand on the bars is the easiest way to avoid this kind of 100%-preventable crashes.
