Motorcycles made from wood are not a new thing in the business, and every now and then we stumble upon some amazing, crazy guy dedicating countless work hours to building a wooden bike. Carlos Alberto is a carpenter... with a thing for Vespas, and here's his Daniela.
This Vespa looks too good for words to describe it, and we simply fell in love with the amazing way the various wood essences mix in this awesome piece of art. We can resume that the frame of this machine is as sturdy as it gets: it makes us think about the neck of custom-made electric guitars.

Alternating different types of wood in a clever way and binding them together, master builders can achieve extremely strong parts which can also flex under heavy weight, pretty much like steel does.

The design keeps true to the old Vespas, with no unnecessary bling, and function following form. While at first we believed this was only for decor or a push model at best, we were quite surprised to see an actual engine inside it.

Not exactly sure how well will the sweet lacquer stand the rain and sunshine, or how comfy a wooden seat can get, but we have to admit that we're in love with this Daniela!
