Jose Mourinho Helps Porsche Launch New Collection

Jose Mourinho, the man whose name is on every football fan’s lips, is now among the sports icons chosen by Porsche Design to launch the label’s new Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Other famous names include three-time Olympic sailing gold medalist and two-time America's Cup winner Jochen Schümann and six-time Grand Slam champion Stefan Edberg.

Porsche Design will use the image of Mourinho and Edberg in a targeted communication campaign. “The relationships with the legendary athletes reflect Porsche Design Sport’s commitment to excellence, integrity and the relentless pursuit of perfection,” the company states.

For the past two years, Schümann has been collaborating with the German brand for the testing and development of the Fall/Winter 2010 sailing range, which includes a full range of apparel, footwear and accessories.

Highlights include the AC Bowman and AC Grinder sailing shoes that are equipped with shock-absorbing adiPRENE and a sticky rubber outsole for wet deck traction.

Porsche Design Sport is a collaboration between the Adidas brand and Porsche Design. The Porsche Design Sport Fall/Winter 2010 collection hits retail worldwide in July 2010 and will be available at Adidas Sport Performance Concept Stores and Porsche Design Stores.
