We told you about the charity auction for the awesome custom helmet Jorge Lorenzo wore in the Barcelona round of the 2013 MotoGP to a great victory. Things have been on the move way better than we dared to dream they would: the auction price has already reached €22,300 ($29,525)!
The Graffiti helmet graphics scheme was designed by Anna Vives, a Catalan girl who suffers with Down Syndrome. However, it looks like Anna has gone past many of the limitations this condition comes with, and she has a artist's mind, having already created her own font and being involved in graphics.

Jorge Lorenzo's Graffiti helmet went on auction for ten days and no less than 152 bids have been placed so far. With 6 days remaining until the end of the auction (at the time of writing), we do believe there is still room for improvement.

Since the proceedings will be donated to a charitable fund for helping persons with Down Syndrome, we're spreading the news about this auction far and wide, and will also bring you the final price of the winning bid. Way to go, Jorge!
