Famous freeskier and car nut Jon Olsson is injured and can't take on the slopes right now. But rather than sit on his tush and count his money, the Swede decided to see what it would be like to drift a car uphill in the snow. As it turns out, it's pretty cool!
"I first thought about the RS6. But we already knew that the four-wheel-drive Audis work great on snow, so we brought the 600bhp, 1000kg Rebellion with 315 wide winter tyres to see what would really happen if you brought a true supercar to the slopes," says Jon,

As you guts can see, Rebelion is built for speed and fun in equal measures. It's powered by an Audi R8 engine, looks just like a Le Mans prototype and cost €500,000 ($692,000). It's the car Olsson plans to rally during this year's Gumball 3000 (yes, in that livery).

"This crazy idea turned out to be one of the most exciting mornings that I have ever had. Pushing full gas while sliding sideways on the top of an empty mountain while the sun is just dipping over the horizon is just hard to beat!" said Olsson upon completing the impressive piece of driving.

2014 Le Mans is already pretty cool, but maybe somebody needs to figure out how to get Toyota, Audi and everybody else to the snowy ski slope in Storlien, Sweden, at least once a year.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
